Orlando's reputation for food is twenty years out of date. The city now holds a two-star MICHELIN restaurant, five one-stars and fourteen Bib Gourmands, and almost none of them are anywhere near the theme parks. Here is what is worth the drive, and how to make the drive.

How this list works
We have not invented a scoring system. The 2026 MICHELIN Florida Guide recognises more than sixty Orlando restaurants, and that is a more credible starting point than anything we could assemble. What we have added is the thing MICHELIN does not tell you: where these places are relative to where you are staying, and whether you can reach them without a car.
That matters more in Orlando than in most cities, because the good restaurants and the hotels are in different parts of town, and the gap between them is fifteen to thirty minutes of driving.

Orlando's highest-rated restaurant and one of only two two-star rooms in Florida. A small, disciplined tasting menu operation that has done more to change outside perceptions of Orlando dining than any amount of tourism marketing.
PracticalVery small. Book far ahead. Baldwin Park is 10 to 15 minutes from downtown and 25 to 35 from International Drive depending on traffic. You are driving or taking a car.

Kaya in Mills 50 holds a MICHELIN Green Star for sustainability, which is a separate award from the star ratings above and worth seeking out on its own terms.
Bib Gourmand: where locals eat
For most visitors this is the more useful list. Bib Gourmand means good food at moderate prices, and Orlando's fourteen are spread across the neighbourhoods where the city actually eats.

Six restaurants joined the guide's recommended list for 2026: 1921 in Mount Dora, June and Sparrow Wine Bar & Lounge in downtown Orlando, Kappo Tsan in southwest Orlando, Osteria Ester in Thornton Park, and Smoke & Donuts BBQ in the Milk District.
By neighbourhood
If you only have one or two nights, pick a neighbourhood rather than a restaurant. Each of these has enough density that a walk after dinner is part of the evening.

Getting there without a car
Blunt version: Orlando's restaurant neighbourhoods are a rideshare destination from the tourist corridor, with two exceptions.
- Winter Park and downtown are genuinely reachable on SunRail, for $2, on weekdays. Both station areas are walkable. This is the single best transit-plus-dinner combination in Central Florida, and the constraint is that SunRail does not run on weekends and stops around 11 p.m.
- Disney resort restaurants, including Victoria & Albert's, are covered by Disney's own free transport if you are staying on property.
Everything else is a car. From International Drive expect $25 to $40 each way by rideshare to the Mills 50, Audubon Park or Baldwin Park neighbourhoods, and more on the way back after 10 p.m. If you are doing two or three dinner trips like this, that is $150 to $250 of rideshare, which changes the rental car calculation on its own.
Dinner is the trip most people get transport wrong on
A tasting menu with wine pairings and a drive home do not combine. For a group doing one serious dinner, an hourly car that waits is often cheaper than two surge-priced rideshares and considerably better than one person not drinking.

Yes. In the 2026 MICHELIN Florida Guide, Sorekara in Baldwin Park holds two stars, one of only two two-star restaurants in the state. Five Orlando-area restaurants hold one star: Camille, Kadence, ÔMO by Jônt, Soseki Modern Omakase and Victoria & Albert's at Disney's Grand Floridian. Kaya in Mills 50 holds a Green Star for sustainability.
Not on International Drive. The restaurants locals care about cluster in a handful of neighbourhoods east and north of downtown: Mills 50, Audubon Park, Baldwin Park, the Milk District, Thornton Park and Winter Park. Most are fifteen to twenty-five minutes from the tourist corridor.
Some of them. Winter Park and downtown Orlando restaurants are reachable by SunRail on weekdays and walkable from the stations. Mills 50, Audubon Park and Baldwin Park are realistically rideshare destinations. Nothing in these neighbourhoods is reachable from I-Drive on the trolley.
The one and two-star rooms, and the omakase counters in particular, book weeks out and several seat fewer than twenty people a night. Victoria & Albert's and Sorekara should be booked before you book flights if they are the point of the trip. Bib Gourmand places are usually a few days out, and some do not take reservations at all.
MICHELIN's designation for good food at moderate prices. For a visitor it is usually the most useful category in the guide, because it points at the places locals actually eat. Orlando has fourteen, spread across Winter Park, Mills 50, Audubon Park, Baldwin Park, Winter Garden and the Milk District.
For a specific handful of rooms, yes. Victoria & Albert's at Disney's Grand Floridian is a one-star restaurant by any standard. Several Disney Springs and resort restaurants appear in the MICHELIN Guide's recommended list. Outside those, park dining is a convenience purchase, and you are paying resort prices for it.
